INTERIOR INSPO - UKRAINIAN DESIGN

This to die for interior is brought to you by Nikita Borisenko, an Architect based in Kiev, Ukraine. I'm drooling over the digital art and simple colour palette. Whoever said a room needs a splash of colour, lied.

GREEN SMOOTHIE

I posted this picture on my Instagram account over the weekend and a few friends messaged me asking for the recipe so I thought I would share it with all of you. I drink this smoothie for breakfast before my workouts because it's filled with lots of goodness and enough protein to give me the energy I need for my day.

1/2 frozen banana
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 big handfuls of frozen spinach & kale
1 scoop protein (of your choice)
juice of 1/2 lemon

I've tried every green smoothie and juice out there and I tend to stick to this one because it doesn't call for any fancy ingredients and it isn't filled with tons of fruit/sugar.

Enjoy

A NEW YEAR

I'm not a huge believer in new year's resolutions. At least not the kind that make us feel bad about ourselves and forces us to look back at all the previous resolutions we didn't keep.

It's important to self reflect and acknowledge areas of our life where we can focus to improve the overall quality of our life. We only get one life on this planet and it's important to fill that life with joy, happiness and fulfillment.

My resolution for 2014 is to keep working on having a positive outlook. 2013 taught me that we all have a choice. We can be negative and miserable and focus on the areas of our lives that are going wrong. Or we can have gratitude and focus on all of the positive things in our lives. When we change our attitude and outlook, it actually changes the situation.

When we're grateful for all of the blessings in our life, those blessings are enriched and they multiply. When we focus only on the negative, we're doing more damage than we realize, we're actually attracting more negativity and causing negative experiences.

BITS AND PIECES (FROM IPHONE)

Happy holidays!!!

I hope everyone is having a magical holiday season so far. If you're one of the 250,000 people in Toronto without power (you won't be reading this) I hope your power comes back soon.

I've been really busy but still wanted to share a few pictures from my IPhone with you guys.

1. A beautiful tree in my friends lobby.  Love the white and blue. Her condo building is so gorg & chic.
2. Adorable bowls from one of my favourite furniture stores - Pavilion
3. A little holiday decor inspo, also seen at Pavilion. I'm totally doing this next year.
4. My new  black nail polish from Joe Fresh. I'm totolly impressed with how well it stayed on.
5. New Prada Candy Perfume from one of my boyfriends clients (thank you universe)

Bye for now!

LE PETITE DEJEUNER

There's almost nothing I love more than a weekend brunch. My boyfriend and I are what one would call professional brunchers. Toronto is a city filled with great brunch spots and it's totally normal to see lines wrapped around a building filled with people trying to get into their favourite brunch spot. Luckily, I am a morning person so we always wake up early to beat the rush.

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago when we went to Le Petit Dejeuner on King Street. We went at 9:00 on a Sunday morning and got in right away. The food was amazing, I drool even thinking about it. As we were leaving the line outside was already full.

The pictures above of me are from the walk to brunch. It's me trying to share some of my personal style with you guys. Fashion is my first passion but it's really hard to get shots of myself. It involves having my boyfriend take pictures of me in public places and it can be awkward. I'm hoping to get better at this and being able to share more soon.

TIS THE SEASON

Everywhere I look online people are talking about holiday decor. I'm secretly grateful I live in a 650 square foot condo because there's only so much room to add festive touches. The thought of decorating an entire home is a bit overwhelming, maybe one day. For now, I wanted to share these images by interior stylist Johanna Pilfalk. They have me in a cozy, holiday mood.

TORONTO CHRISTMAS MARKET

Last night I stepped outside our condo building into the Distillery District to pick up a few last minute gifts. The annual Christmas Market was in full swing. The lights, holiday music and atmosphere was so festive I ran upstairs to grab my camera because it was too pretty not to share. Here are a few of my favourite pictures.

Not pictured was the hot chocolate my boyfriend and I sipped in front of the fire pits. So much fun.
